Very nice house. Dinner and breakfast was good. We had a big room with 3 comfortable beds.

Not a lot, other than the function room which was new with good facilities and helpful staff.
The approach to the hotel is unsightly and the surroundings to the hotel requires a lot of upkeep, the cottage accommodation is very shabby and dated.

The building is ( or was) a lovely old Tudor Manor, now sadly fallen on hard times. It is situated near the M4, but not noisy
This holtel certainly does not live up to the impression given on the web-site. The room was huge, but dirty, The staff were unhelpful and unfriendly. Dinner was very basic "pub" food and breakfast was about as minimal as it gets

The room was delightful, the hotel is charming and the location for our trip to Henley very satisfactory.

With out doubt the best part of our visit to this Hotel has to be the service, and the friendly staff, they were outstanding. We could have chated for hours to all of them. Because of their friendly welcome, we would return one day.
Even though it was a period hotel, some things could do with updating. The Mattresses were a little hard, with springs starting to appear, and maybe change the televison to flat screens at some stage.

This former manor house is full of character. The room we had was huge, with plenty of comfortable seating . There was a problem with the hot water to the room but this was quickly resolved by the helpful staff (we were given access to a nearby room) and without prompting, we were given a reduction in the price at check out, on what was already an excellent deal including full english breakfast.

A classic structure built in the 1500's. Very historical English manor. If you want to experience a traditional English manor than this is the place.
A bit from from Reading town center, but close to Theale train stop and bus lines which will take to to London and points beyond

The hotel is beautiful and our family room was a fantastic size with one double bed, two singles, a travel cot and two sofas! Period furniture and features made our stay in 'Lord Henry's room' extra special. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was scrummy! Would definately recommend and will return when we visit Legoland again.

Friendly staff.
Difficult to find. Satnav took us to the rear entrance, but the gates were locked. Had to drive a long way round to get to the front.

Location was ideal for us. The building and surroundings were very pleasant. Staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great.
Although the size of the room was ideal for us, unfortunately it was not dusted. I had to remove cob webs from the bathroom. When we first walked in it did not smell fresh. Once I had sprayed it and removed the webs it was great. I would make family and friends aware of the general cleaniness when recommending.
